About Us
Trusted Mental Health Guidance, Built for Nebraska
About Us
The Mass General Institute for Young Healthy Minds-Nebraska is a local extension of the Massachusetts General Hospital Clay Center for Young Healthy Minds, one of the country's most trusted sources of free, practical, online educational resources dedicated to promoting and supporting the mental, emotional, and behavioral well-being of children, teens, and young adults. Developed in partnership with Implemental Health and made possible through the generous support of the Hawks Foundation, our Nebraska center brings expert, localized guidance directly to the families, educators, and healthcare professionals who call Nebraska home.
When a community is equipped to recognize, discuss, and respond to mental health challenges with knowledge and without shame, people — young and old, throughout the lifespan — get help sooner, and lives are changed. That's why we're building a growing library of localized articles, videos, podcasts, and provider trainings designed around what Nebraska communities tell us they actually need, without having to search far to find answers.
What We Do
Educate Nebraska Families
We turn complex mental health science into clear, compassionate guidance families, caregivers, and clinicians can use today — all grounded in the latest research and written in plain, everyday language.
Support Local Providers
We equip Nebraska pediatricians, primary care physicians, prescribers, and clinicians with accredited trainings, referral pathways, and clinical resources developed alongside Creighton University.
Strengthen Community Connections
We partner with schools, healthcare organizations, local and regional media, and spiritual and community groups across Nebraska through workshops and family dinner programming to bring mental health education directly to where families already gather.
A Growing Library Built Around Nebraska
Our resource library grows every month, with new topics chosen based on what Nebraska families, educators, and clinicians tell us they need most. From everyday parenting questions to specialized guidance, our materials are developed in collaboration with the local Creighton community.
